Aging is a gradual and continuous process of natural change in our body from loose skin, wrinkles, weak bones, and some develop an illness. However, this is not the case for everyone. Each of us ages differently, and one of the main factors is how we lived our younger days up until today.

Love Your Skin

Aging gracefully doesn’t mean you have to look like when you are in your 20s or 30s.  One thing that changes dramatically as we age is our skin.  Here are a few tips to help love the skin you’re in:

  • Always wear sunscreen.
  • Make sure your skincare routine consists of mild products.
  • Stay hydrated.
  • Stop smoking.
  • Get an annual skin cancer screening.

Staying fit is not all about lifting heavy weights and going to the gym (though that can help greatly!). Doing regular exercise helps in lowering your risk of diseases like heart disease. It also allows you to maintain your mobility, reduce stress, and improves your overall well-being. 

 

Always aim for at least 3 to 5 hours of active exercise per week like walking, cycling, swimming, or dancing.

Be Mindful of Your Diet

Part of having a healthy lifestyle is eating healthy Be mindful of what you eat. Diet can be different for everyone, as it can be based on personal tastes. Consult your doctor would be for ideas. Most will recommend eating fresh fruits and vegetables, fish, and a good amount of healthy fats.

 

As we age, we will experience a lot of changes and adjustments.  Aging is part of our lives, and it is a chapter to embrace.  Beautifully aged people are works of art!
